What kind of scars can Nourisil™ MD be used for?

Nourisil™ MD has been designed for the treatment and prevention of hypertrophic and keloid scars which result from medical and cosmetic surgery, wounds, trauma or burns.

How does Nourisil™ MD work?

When the skin is damaged it releases too much moisture. The body then creates excess collagen which causes a scar. Nourisil™ MD creates a silicone barrier that enables the skin to release moisture at normal levels reducing the amount of collagen produced in the scar area. This helps reduce the severity of a scar’s features.

Is Nourisil™ MD guaranteed to work for my scar?

No product can guarantee success however Nourisil™ MD contains ingredients which have been proven to be successful in helping treat and prevent hypertrophic and keloid scars.

How long until I see results?

The recommended duration of treatment is 60-90 days. For larger or older scars, longer treatment may be required.

Is it safe?

Nourisil™ MD contains safe ingredients and is suitable for the use on all skin types and on children.

What are the ingredients?

Cyclopentasiloxane, Caprylyl methicone, Tocopheryl acetate, Dimethicone crosspolymer, PEG-12 Dimethicone/PPG-20 crosspolymer, Polyglyceryl-3 diisostearate, Dimethicone

‘An article, instrument, apparatus or machine that is used in the prevention, diagnosis or treatment of illness or disease, or for detecting, measuring, restoring, correcting or modifying the structure or function of the body for some health purpose.’

How should I apply Nourisil™ MD?

Nourisil™ MD should be applied on a dry and clean skin twice-daily.

Can Nourisil™ MD be used for ACNE scars?

Typically scars formed by ACNE are atrophic scars. They generally have an indented appearance on the skin. Nourisil™ MD is not designed to treat or prevent atrophic scars however some users have found it can help. Watch vlogger Natasha Summer’s review of Nourisil™ MD after using it on her ACNE scars here.

Can Nourisil™ MD be used for stretch marks?

Nourisil™ MD is not designed to treat or prevent stretch marks. The NHS states there is little evidence to show stretch mark treatments are effective and this has been backed up by a study carried out by Fagron UK.

Is Nourisil™ MD good value for money?

When compared with many other silicone scar gels, Nourisil™ MD provides exceptional value. Many silicone scar gels come in a 15g tube and are sold for a similar price to Nourisil™ MD. Nourisil™ MD comes in a 30g dispenser and in some cases can provide twice the value of other products.
